Incoming! We’re busy writing and recording new material for 2024!

More very soon xx

The Countess of Fife’s debut studio album Star of the Sea was recorded at Castle Sound, Pencaitland, near Edinburgh. Produced by Jim Sutherland and Fay Fife.

The album’s core musicians are amongst Scotland’s finest:

Fay FIfe: vocals and keys

Allan Mcdowall: guitar and backing vocals

Chris Agnew: double bass

Willie Molleson: drums

and including …

Kirsten Adamson (backing vocals) Malcolm Ross (acoustic and lap steel) Chris Stout (fiddle and viola) Dave Milligan (piano) Jim Sutherland (percussion) Dave Coyle (electric guitar)

The Countess of Fife’s powerful delivery of Humans Are A Bad Breed lifts the hair on the back of your neck. They waltz you through Sixteen, reminding us that there’s more to our teenage years than first kisses. They haunt you with Wandering Star and Trapped. Before your tears have dried you’re dancing to Don’t Dress Me Up or the elegiac Goodby Motorbike Guy.
