We're delighted to announce that the esteemed and honourable lead guitarist, Stuart Nisbett will be joining us as we get back on the road. No one could ever replace Brian McFie - nor would anyone try. But having one of Brian's musical contemporaries on board feels exactly right for the next chapter in the story of that which is THE COUNTESS OF FIFE.

What we already know about Stuart:

Stuart’s toured the world with and recorded for The Proclaimers on 5 albums. He was Creative Director of Music for Glasgow’s 2014 Commonwealth Games, he made a cameo appearance in the movie Wild Rose then toured the live show with Jessie Buckley. “The Gospel According to Mr Niz” is recognised as his “solo opus”. He’s recorded 3 albums with Del Amitri’s Justin Currie, still plays with Liverpool band China Crisis and according to him, he’s annoyed uncountable musicians with his pedal steel and attitude.

Back in the space age he says, his first four US tours were with his dad, an evangelical preacher. Through the Southern states, in deep Bible Belt churches and tent meetings, the sound and spirit of country, gospel, and r’n’b imbued Mr Niz with an unquestioning faith in the righteousness of his calling to the Telecaster.
